METCO Group used to own controlling interest in specialised companies which augmented our in-house knowledge and provided us with direct access to resources and expertise in the fields of Marine Survey and Consultancy , Ship Repair and Industrial Maintenance, and Compliance & Testing.
Today The Group has refocused its activities to its original business of Marine Survey and Consultancy for Commercial Vessels Owners, H&M underwriters, P&Is, Large Yachts, Cruising Yachts and Environmental.
METCO Marine Services is the trading name for METCO Group. It encompasses our marine survey and consultancy department in close relationship with
Bernard Gallay Yacht Brokerage (BGYB) for Large Yacht, and
CESAM (Comité d’Étude et de Service des Assureurs Maritimes et Transport) as recommended Marine and Cargo Surveyor, but also General Average Adjuster for New Zealand
We are Lloyd’s Academy Accredited Marine Surveyors for ship’s hull, machineries & cargoes; with specialisation in large yacht & environmental. We support our customers with marine related topics, from operational & logistic studies, through to project & technical management.
We investigate transport claims as recommended Average Agent & Surveyor for the French Insurers Network (CESAM) for New Zealand.
Founded in 1994, Bernard Gallay Yacht Brokerage (BGYB) has grown rapidly in the yachting industry to become a full member of the prestigious Mediterranean Yacht Broker Association (MYBA) which is associated with some of the world’s leading brokerage companies.
METCO Group represents BGYB in New Zealand and, as such, is your local link to the European.
CESAM is an Economic Interest Group. With roots back in the 16th Century, CESAM provides services to member companies and brings together French and foreign companies in the marine insurance business.
METCO Group is CESAM’s correspondent in New Zealand. For ease of communication, we will correspond and issue reports in French and / or English.
