Founded in 1994, Bernard Gallay Yacht Brokerage (BGYB) has grown rapidly in the yachting industry to become a full member of the prestigious Mediterranean Yacht Broker Association (MYBA) which is associated with some of the world’s leading brokerage companies.

Bernard Gallay, founder of BGYB, has had a long and successful sailing career which includes racing in events such as the America’s Cup and the Vendee Globe – nonstop solo round the world race. In 2006, Bernard decided to take a break from competing in order to focus 100% of his attention on the development of BGYB. Knowing that the qualities of a sailor and characteristics of an entrepreneur (anticipation, courage and perseverance) overlap, he chose to surround himself with other internationally respected sailors, either competitors like him or yacht captains, to ensure the continuing success of BGYB.

MEDITERRANEAN YACHT BROKERAGE ASSOCIATION - MYBA

As a MYBA Member, we have access to MYBA.net. This is a worldwide database of yachts available for charter – an online booking centre only available to member charter brokers. All BGYB’s charter contracts and agreements comply with MYBA’s terms and conditions.

The yachts we offer for charter are subject to annual monitoring and checks. These are carried out at the highest level possible within the yachting industry and demands a high degree of quality in terms of comfort, maintenance and administrative controls.

Because we are in constant contact with experienced crews, we can advise you on the destinations and itineraries that best suit your requirements. The crews share with us their charter experiences and know the most beautiful anchor sites and memorable stops to ensure your charter is perfect.

When arranging your charter, we carefully select your crew by taking into account the essential cruising criteria which include: hospitality, sailing experience, professionalism and quality of meals served.
